Vintage Saint Laurent “Picasso” jacket

Vintage jacket by Yves Saint Laurent, from the “Hommage aux artistes” 1988/89 collection. Christened “Picasso”, this piece features a brown velvet stand-up collar with a slim fit, with its five wooden buttons and structuring shoulder pads typical of the YSL silhouette of the ’80s. Crafted in brown wool, it is adorned on the front with elegant black graphics enhanced by two contrasting corduroy motifs: one black, the other khaki, adding a bold, artistic touch to the ensemble. The jacket is fully lined in brown silk. This jacket is part of the “Hommage aux artistes” collection presented at the Autumn-Winter 1988-1989 fashion show. This collection pays tribute to masters such as Picasso, Braque, Léger and Mondrian, transposing elements of their pictorial works into fashion creations. Very nice piece, Size 42, in very good condition.
