This model dates from the Spring-Summer 1993 collection, as indicated by the hallmark engraved on the back: “CHANEL ® 93 A Made in France”. The letter A corresponds to the Autumn season, but in this context it is probably a piece of jewelry designed for a transition between two collections. In the 1990s, under the artistic direction of Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel revived opulent costume jewelry inspired by Coco Chanel herself, who liked to mix the fake and the real to create an accessible yet audacious style. Exterior details:
The clips consist of two distinct parts. The circular upper part is in glossy black resin, centered by an embossed gold CC logo.
