Model History:
The Keepall was conceived in the 1930s as Louis Vuitton’s response to the rise of short-haul travel. Revisited here by Virgil Abloh, artistic director of the Men’s line from 2018 to 2021, this model reflects the designer’s ability to reinterpret classics through an avant-garde approach. The embossed metallic patent leather of the Monogram Mirror, presented as part of the AH21 show, explores the relationship to light, reflection and visual presence in space – themes dear to Abloh.
Exterior details:
The mirror-effect metallic canvas exterior features a tone-on-tone embossed Louis Vuitton monogram, visible from all angles. This rigid, smooth and highly reflective material captures its surroundings with intensity. The round handles and shoulder strap in natural leather contrast with the futuristic look of the bag’s body, evoking the traditional codes of Louis Vuitton leather goods. The silver-tone metal finishes complete the ensemble with coherence. The natural leather label holder, also branded, reinforces the utilitarian character of the model.
Interior Details:
The interior is lined with a plain, tightly woven mouse-gray textile, contrasting discreetly with the mirror-like appearance of the exterior. It features a large patch zipped pocket and a leather tab to secure personal belongings. The interior label in natural leather reads:
Product Condition:
The bag is in new, unworn condition. The natural leather is immaculate, with no patina, the handles are intact, and the metallic surface shows no scratches or signs of use. It comes with all its original accessories: adjustable shoulder strap, padlock, keys, dustbag, box and label.
Care instructions:
Avoid any abrasive contact with the metalized surface, which, although resistant, remains sensitive to rubbing and fingerprints. Keep the bag in its dustbag when not in use, away from light and moisture. Natural leather will develop a patina over time: we recommend handling it with clean hands to preserve its original light hue.
