Hermès silk square “Tribute to Charles Garnier”.

Vintage Hermès square in silk twill “Hommage à Charles Garnier”, designed by Cathy Latham and first published in 1989. This square is a vibrant tribute to Charles Garnier, famous architect of the Garnier opera house, a jewel of Napoleon III style inaugurated in 1875. At its center, the scarf reveals a portrait sculpture of Garnier, surrounded by details inspired by the Opera’s lavish decor: columns, sculptures, musical instruments and Baroque ornaments. The palette is dominated by deep green, gold and ivory. A very fine piece. In very good condition.
