Chanel navy blue cotton short jacket

Vintage Chanel short jacket in navy blue wool, from the Autumn/Winter 1993/94 “Boots and white shirts” collection. A structured piece with a slightly boxy cut, typical of the ’90s, that highlights the shoulders while drawing a graphic silhouette. Lined in silk, the jacket features two patch pockets on the front, closed by 5 gilded metal Chanel buttons on the back, with the CC logo in relief. These iconic buttons also adorn the pockets and cuffs.

In this collection, Karl Lagerfeld blends underground inspirations with bourgeois style, shaking up traditional Chanel codes with audacity and irreverence. Chains, cardigans and other iconic symbols are still there, but revisited with a rebellious twist: oversized white shirts, long johns, denim edged with tweed.
