Chanel Haute Couture tweed jacket

Exceptional collector’s item: vintage Chanel tweed jacket from haute couture 1964-1965. Entirely hand-stitched, this beige wool jacket is distinguished by its refined finishing: raspberry and deep purple trims underline its elegance. It is lined in beige silk and features four perfectly structured pockets.

The golden buttons are embellished with an embossed lion’s head, the emblematic symbol of Gabrielle Chanel. Each sleeve is punctuated by two buttons at the ends, underscoring the house’s characteristic attention to detail.

A true collector’s treasure, this model is on display at the Palais Galliera. It was worn on several occasions by Coco Chanel herself, as well as by the actress playing Coco on the cover of the film The Return directed by Karl Lagerfeld.
